GenreShwayze's genre is something between hip hop and rock. In the song "Corona and Lime", they address this when they say, "Let me tell you about a girl I know. She like hip hop and rock and roll." They have created a new genre and more people such as KiD CuDi and Big Sean are in this genre as well.MembersShwayze is made up of 3 members: Shwayze (rapping), Cisco Adler (back up vocals & singing), & DJ Skeet Skeet (turntables).
Breaking Onto the SceneShwayze came out with their first single, "Buzzin", in July 2008. It attracted immediate buzz because of its unique style and great sound. "Buzzin" was such a hit that MTV created a reality show with the same name, which debuted on July 23, 2008 and accumulated some success. After releasing their studio album on August 19, 2008, Shwayze released a mixtape entitled "Rich Girls" on November 24, 2008. Their RootsShwayze (Born Aaron Smith) was born in Malibu, California, while Cisco Adler was born in Los Angeles, California. Many of Shwayze's songs incorporate phrases and other information about California. In the song "Corona and Lime," Shwayze raps, "Girls in the hills go day trippin, to get their nails done, and hair straightened. Little girls in the 818, get hot when I roll over laurel canyon." Shwayze constantly raps about California and it is essential to their image and music. Why Their Music RocksShwayze raps over laid-back beats and his flow is very relaxing to listen to. When Cisco Adler sings the chorus, it is very chill and nice to listen to. | ||||||||
